Can you supply new vehicles?

Yes, we are frequently placing orders for new cars on behalf of our clients. Be aware there may be an extended delivery time due to the vehicle having to be built to order.

Is it just Prestige, Performance or Supercars that you supply?

We are specialists in sourcing and importing prestige cars. We can source almost all makes and models of luxury and high performance cars. we will always strive to provide the best value, however, cars under £12,000 may not deliver a strong saving. 

What security checks do you perform to ensure the car has no unwanted history?

UK cars are checked for insurance write off claims, finance history, mileage verification, registration plate changes, log book validity, valid service history and MOT validity.

Additional independent condition checks are available on request.

Does the quoted price include all the car import costs?

We like to keep life simple and opt for a No surprises approach. We quote one clear price for the service you opt for.

For CIF car imports, the price quoted includes the cost of the car, transport within the originating country, quality control checks, shipping, insurance throughout the journey, our fees and the DHL costs.

Your quote will also include the additional services you have requested such as local clearing and delivery services. So simply put, the price reflects the import service you opt for.

How do you accept payment?

For new or used cars, we require a deposit to secure your car with the supplier and commit us to working on your behalf.


Once the purchase has been agreed, we then require you to pay the balance so we can complete the purchase and import on your behalf.


For factory orders, we require the deposit to secure the order with the manufacturer. The balance payment is due when the car is ready for collection from the factory.
All payments are normally by bank transfer. We can accept GBP, USD & EUROs.

What are the import duties and taxes when bringing a car from the UK to Ireland?

You'll need to pay VAT and VRT. The VRT depends on the car’s Open Market Selling Price and CO2 emissions.

Do I need to pay duty on UK car imports to Ireland?

Yes since Brexit it is necessary to customs clear a car into Ireland. That means in some circumstances paying duty. You’ll definitely need to pay VAT and there’s also VRT to pay before registration.

How do I register an imported car in Ireland?

You must book an inspection with the NCTS and pay the VRT within 30 days of the car’s arrival.

What is VRT (Vehicle Registration Tax) and how is it calculated?

VRT is based on the car’s Open Market Selling Price and its CO2 emissions rating. You can estimate it using the Revenue’s online calculator.

Do I need to get an NCTS inspection for the imported vehicle?

Yes, an NCTS inspection is mandatory to ensure the vehicle meets Irish standards before registration.

How long can I drive a UK-registered car in Ireland before registering it locally?

You can drive it for up to 30 days before you must register it in Ireland and pay the VRT.

Are there any differences in insurance requirements for imported cars?

You'll need an Irish insurance policy. Most insurers will cover imported vehicles, but you should confirm with your provider.

What documents are needed to import a car from the UK to Ireland?

You’ll need the vehicle’s V5C logbook, proof of purchase, proof of identity, and proof of address to complete the registration.

How do Brexit regulations impact importing cars to Ireland?

Post-Brexit, you’ll need to pay import duties if the car wasn’t originally manufactured in the UK. There’s also more paperwork.

You pay the VRT at the NCTS centre after the inspection. You can pay online or at the centre.

You can import both new and used cars. Just make sure to follow the appropriate procedures for each.

Are there any restrictions on the types of vehicles that can be imported?

Most standard vehicles can be imported, but there are restrictions on very old or heavily modified vehicles.

What happens if my imported car doesn’t meet Irish emissions standards?

If the car doesn’t meet Irish emissions standards, you may face additional taxes or modifications to comply.

How long does it take to complete the entire importation process from the UK to Ireland?

The process usually takes a few weeks, from transport to inspection and registration. You can drive the car across in just a matter of days but you’ll need to get an inspection and there can be a waiting list which will slow your registration down. Pre-booking your inspection will help to speed this up.
